LATE SUMMER WEDDING - SEPT 2010

Micklefield Hall was the perfect setting for this late summer Wedding. We kept our fingers and toes crossed that the weather would be just right for the Bride and Groom, and we were not let down.

The marquee was the main venue for the Wedding Day, however guests were really treated with a view of the inside of the main house, as they walked from the main entrance, through the reception rooms to the top patio, where arrival drinks of Pimm's & Lemonade, bubbly cold Prosecco and Sparkling Elderflower cordial awaited them.
We served four different handmade canapes, two of them hot and freshly cooked at the top patio giving guests the mouthwatering smell, and also a presentable working kitchen, watching their canapes being prepared and made.
Guests enjoyed a walk down the rolling landscape of Micklefield Hall's lawned garden, across a beautifully decorated bridge, to their marquee. The marquee was dressed sumptuously with elegant tall floral table displays, and a fully laid table complete with side plates, a selection of glasses and linen napkins. A whole wall of the marquee was glazed, giving guests amazing uninterrupted views of the stunning scenery at Micklefield Hall.
The Bride and Groom had chosen a bespoke BBQ menu, following a taster session at Micklefield Hall earlier in 2010, finished with our homemade mini rich dark chocolate tarts and fresh summer fruit pavlovas. Their evening was completed with a selection of cheeses, mixed crackers, grapes, fresh bread and our homemade incredible mango chutney. We selected the specific selection of cheeses with our local cheese expert, and chose an all English selection of Colston Bassett Baby Blue Stilton, Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar, Somerset Brie and Wobbly Bottom Goat's Cheese with Nettles.
We completed their Wedding with our "everything but the drinks" drinks package, which provided a comprehensive service to include dedicated bar staff to serve arrival drinks, serve Wedding Breakfast drinks, manage a bar throughout the day and evening, and ensure each guest was looked after and their tables kept nice and tidy. We also provided the bar serving area, all refrigeration, and the required drink garnishes and ice. This service gave the Bride and Groom the flexibility to choose the quantity and selection of their own drinks, with Flamed Foods Co. providing the professional service to match.
A very impressive Wedding at a very impressive venue.

A CHRISTENING BBQ - SEPT 2010

This Christening BBQ was in the sunny back garden of a beautiful house in Chalfont St Giles.
We set our preparation and cooking area as a focal point in their garden, and not only served a delicious freshly grilled BBQ menu with the complimenting yummy and satisfying desserts, we also provided sparkling glasses for their drinks and freshly brewed tea and coffee to really finish their menu.
As there was a guest who is gluten intolerant, we provided our Butcher's handmade gluten free sausages for all guests, and they are that juicy and tasty, that none of the guests could tell the difference!
These photos will give any potential customers a really good idea of how we can fit neatly and presentably into a garden, and add something truly special to their garden party.

A MODERN AND STYLISH WEDDING, WITH ALL THE TRADITIONAL CHARM - SEPT 2010

This Wedding in Little Missenden was set in the extensive back garden of The Crown pub. It was the perfect combination of a modern and stylishly dressed marquee, with black and white as the main theme with splashes of hot pink and fiery orange in the floral arrangements on each table, with the traditional charm of an English country pub.

We arranged our smart and professional preparation and cooking area next to the main walkway up to the entrance of their marquee, so that every guest could see us preparing and cooking their dishes and smell the wonderful scent of food grilling on our coal barbeques. Many guests came to see us for a closer look, and we had some great conversations regarding our dishes, and the ingredients they contained, and also what we were doing with them.
We served their bespoke barbeque menu, which contained a lovely juicy prawn skewer that we also added some large grilled whole prawns to, to give guests the real wow factor, which was followed by our indulgent Oreo Cheesecake and our Gooey, Chewy, Crispy and Crunchy meringues, and then the guests were entertained again by us cooking a fresh Paella and it certainly helped soak up some alcohol later in the evening!
A really lovely Wedding, and although there were 120 guests, it felt intimate and special.

OUR FUSION WEDDING - AUGUST 2010

We catered for this Wedding in Olney which was a true fusion of something beautifully pretty and English, with the exciting flavours and textures of the med.
The setting was a beautful old stone house, with history of being part of the old tannery in Olney, with the marquee placed in it's pretty walled garden.
We served canapes on arrival, a delicious anti pasti starter plate featuring of our Butcher's own charcuterie, freshly made Paella and our gooey, chewy, crispy and crunchy homemade meringues, summer berries and vanilla cream. This menu was served to guests at their table.
The weather wasn't always on our side, but we braved the rain, and the guests would never have known with our seamless and professional service with smiles on our faces!

A LOVELY SUMMER WEDDING @ NETHER WINCHENDON HOUSE - JULY 2010

We were delighted to be part of this Wedding at Nether Winchendon House. An absolutely stunning surrounding for this beautiful Wedding.

We initially served our handmade canapes with glasses of Champagne at the Bride and Groom's house, a few miles from their reception venue. They had their ceremony in their garden, chairs laid formally on their lawn, in a very pretty country walled garden. Our staff we're on hand to look after guests, and after the ceremony, they served canapes on platters with glasses of cold bubbly Champagne.

From there the guests left our Bride and Groom's house in a vintage bus, and arrived at Nether Winchendon House to a walk down their impressive gravelled driveway, through the orchard, to the terrace with impressive gardens. Our staff were waiting to serve glasses of Pimm's & Lemonade, and also our homemade traditional cloudy Lemonade, to quench their thirst on this sunny afternoon sitting overlooking the beautiful gardens at Nether Winchendon House.

On part of the grounds, a marquee was set in a walled garden where the guests were welcomed to a beautifully laid table, where they would enjoy speeches, Champagne to toast, a grilled summer lunch menu, our homemade meringues, English strawberries and whipped vanilla cream, with wine that had been chosen specifically to match their menu served throughout.

Instead of our usual buffet-style service, our staff served guests at their table, and we placed platters of each dish along the tables encouraging guests to pass platters to each other, and interact as they enjoyed this freshly prepared and grilled menu.

A really lovely touch was that instead of having a Wedding cake, the Bride and Groom had asked guests to make and bring a cake, which would be judged by the children in a country fayre style awarding the favourites with a 3rd, 2nd and 1st place. We then served these cakes along the centre of the tables with tea and coffee, using the specifically choosen vintage plates, cutlery, napkins, cups and saucers.

As the evening guests arrived, and the band started, we served a freshly spit roasted whole pig, with homemade apple sauce, our finger-licking BBQ sauce, and garlic and rosemary sauteed potatoes.
