VILLAGE HALL WEDDING - Saturday 26th June 2010

We provided the menu for this Wedding held at Wing Village Hall. A lovely little traditional village hall, with polished wood floors and a high vaulted ceiling in the main hall.

For this event we worked with a mobile bar company, who set up a very stylish white gloss and steel bar, alongside our dressed serving tables.

This Bride and Groom (and their guests!), enjoyed a delciously tasty hog roast menu with tender and juicy meat, and the crisp and crunchy crackling to compliment. Served with a selection of our homemade side dishes (new potato salad, crunchy coleslaw, lemony cous cous and dressed mixed leaves), and also the option of either tradtional apple sauce or our homemade finger licking BBQ sauce with mature English cheddar cheese (just for something that little bit different). We also removed the whole roast pork tenderloin, and served this directly to the top table. It's definitely my favourite cut of pork.

We served for dessert our crispy, crunchy, gooey and chewy homemade merigues (made with all our own chicken's eggs), mixed summer berries, white Malteasers and whipped double cream - Mmmmmm........

The evening was finished (or started for some!), with a simple but an all freshly made menu, including lemon, garlic and thyme roast chicken drumsticks, a selection of filled soft rolls, homemade sausage rolls with buttery puff pastry, a selection of crisps and a mixed salad.

A lovely pink, pink summer Wedding.

CHRISTENING BBQ - Sunday 20th June 2010

What a lovely day! This Christening Party was set in a garden in Chalfont St. Giles, and was a perfect tea party with a beautifully laid table, complete with fresh garden flowers and dressed with pretty blue bunting.

We recommended a local cake maker (Let Them Eat Cake, Leighton Buzzard), who made a beautifully simple but pretty Christening cake, that we collected and delivered on the day of their event. We laid a drinks serving table with polished and sparkly champagne flutes, wine glassed and tumblers for the customers chilled drinks, and made their party that bit more special with our freshly grilled BBQ menu. Our serving table was stylishly and smartly dressed with a white linen cloth and black table runner, with all our white china serving dishes.
Finished with fresh summer berries and cream, what is more perfect of a hot summer's day than that?!

MERCESDES BENZ CABRIOLET PROMOTION WEEKEND

Mercedes Benz invited us to be part of their cabriolet promotion weekend, and serve their customers over Saturday and Sunday with a BBQ menu and drinks selection.

Their event started with a charity bike ride on the Saturday. People taking part started their day well with our Butcher's smoked on the premises bacon in rolls, served with a big glug of fresh juices. Throughout the day customers had been personally invited to test drive some of Mercedes most beautiful cars, and were treated with a freshly grilled BBQ menu and kept cold on a hot day with a glass of Pimm's & Lemonade, White Wine or a choice of soft drinks. After a gruelling 40 mile bike ride, the cyclists arrived back late in the afternoon to put their feet up, enjoy some delicious BBQ food and drink cold beers and cold drinks.
As always, it is great to be part a Mercedes event, and this one was certainly no different. We all enjoyed a really good weekend with the staff at their dealership.
